Straightsmouth


The 1st picture3 is a great shot of the top end of Straightsmouth. You can see the now Mitre pub in the top right of the picture. You can also see the start of Roan Street (left of picture) and that thin street called Churchfields. See the little footbridge still in use today.  I think this shot is from the 1960s - the early part. This is because there is a building unknown to me just to the left of the Cutty Sark. This wasn't there at the end of the 1960s. (See the Centre of Greenwich page - look at the shot of the arrival of the Gipsy Moth. You cannot see the building then and that was taken in the late 1960s).
The 2nd shot12 show a post war party at the bottom end of Straightsmouth.
