Gloucester Circus


The first two shots are undated3. The 2nd looks like its from the 1960s by the looks of the cars. The 3rd is an excellent pre war shot of the north side of Gloucester Circus. If you look at the LCC (London County Council) bomb map for Greenwich here, you can see circled the V1 bomb that landed more or less on the County Court building on Burney Street, which resulted in the destruction of the north side terrace. You can see the actual destruction in the 4th shot (the V1 hit on 27 June 1944).
