Dutton Street

This shot is from the Greenwich Heritage Centre. It's undated but looks like it's from the 1960s.

From that shot only the right side of the street is Dutton, the other side is Maidenstone Hill. Chadwicks' grocers was on the fork, and I attended Holy Trinity Infants just behind the photographer's right shoulder. At the far end of shot was a 3 storey tenement, blasted by the bomb that destroyed the H.T.junior school and Church, where there is now (police?) flats.Hitler finished it off with a V1 bomb which centred on the Kings Arms pub, reducing my Grandad to tears.
