Creek Road

I think this first shot11 is along Creek Road (or Bridge Street as it was formally known). You can just make out what is "Welland Street" on the side of the building. This would then mean that the building behind the tram is on the plot behind St Alfeges School which is used as a kids playground & outdoor area. The 2nd shot is from further up Creek Road (taken in 1968) and shows the development that still stands today.

The 3rd shot¹¹ is a great picture of the approach from Creek Road up to the current one way system on Greenwich Church Street taken in 1956. (The 4th shows the modern equivalent - taken from Google Maps).

Great site. Point of information: Welland Street hasn't moved - it is still where it has always been (i.e. the road that runs down the side of Wetherspoons). It connects onto Thames Street which is the one around the back of M&S with the traffic barrier running across it.

Would the building behind the tram be Nelsons Buildings?....and St Peters Church on the left?
